These Terms of Service govern your use of the Securade platform, including the website at securade.co.za, the web application at app.securade.co.za, and the Securade Android mobile application. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Securade.
Securade is a South African software platform for physical security risk assessment professionals. The platform is operated by Securade (referred to in these terms as "Securade", "we", "us", or "our"). For questions, contact us at support@securade.co.za.
To use the Securade platform you must register for an account. You agree to:
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement under South African law to use Securade.
Securade offers the following subscription tiers (prices exclude VAT):
All paid plans include a 10-day free trial and 1 free report credit. Additional reports are charged at R300 each. Billing cycles are monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually as selected at the time of subscription.
Payments are processed by PayFast, a South African payment gateway. By subscribing you authorise PayFast to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis. Securade does not store your card details — these are held securely by PayFast in accordance with their terms and PCI-DSS standards.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the platform. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods unless required by South African consumer law. Trial periods that are not cancelled before expiry will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect on your account. Continuing to use the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Report credits are consumed when you export a finalised PDF report from the platform. Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and expire if your subscription lapses. The 1 free report credit included with the trial expires at the end of the trial period if unused.
You agree to use Securade only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
You retain ownership of all assessment data, reports, photos, and other content you upload to Securade ("Your Content"). By using the platform you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not sell Your Content to third parties. Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Securade platform, including the web application, mobile application, software, design, branding, security database content, and documentation, is owned by Securade and protected by South African and international intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

We are not responsible for the practices or terms of these third parties.
We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We will communicate planned downtime in advance where possible.
The Securade platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the platform or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
Securade is a tool to assist security professionals in capturing and structuring their assessments. The accuracy, completeness, and professional adequacy of any report produced using the platform remains the sole responsibility of the user. Securade does not provide security consulting services.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Securade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Securade harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform in violation of these terms, your breach of any applicable law, or any content you submit to the platform.
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may cancel your account from within the platform settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if we decide to discontinue the platform (with reasonable notice).
On termination, your access to the platform will cease. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it may be permanently deleted. You are responsible for exporting any reports or data you need before terminating your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. These terms are also subject to applicable South African consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of revised terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
